The following is a typical schedule, with the guide fine tuning the plan according to the prevailing weather conditions and the experience of the group. Day 1: Welcome at the meeting point. The guide organizes luggage transport to Jamtalhütte. Ascent to the hut 3,5 hours. After dinner: Preview on the activities of the week. Day 2: The guide hands out and adjusts the rental equipment. Refresh glacier skills roping up, moving and climbing on different slope angles. Planning the next day. Day 3: Glacier training – anchors and running belays on snow and ice (how to choose a good place, placing ice screws, deadman, climbing steep ice). Planning the next day. Day 4: Glacier training – moving in a rope party, group management, decision-making, orientation. Planning the next day. Day 5: Training for rock ridges – improvement in climbing technique, fixed anchors, installing and climbing of a fixed rope, rescue management and first aid. Planning the next day. Day 6: Training for steep firn slopes and ice. After dinner: reflections on the week. Day 7: Decent to Galtür, farewell around 12:00 In the evenings, there will be lectures on orientation, reading maps, alpine danger and alpine weather.
