The Via Ferrata instructors' course, the so called Übungsleiter*in, primarily focus on climbing technique and tactics. With in-depth rope skills training, you can defuse problems in advance. Therefore, you'll learn how to support children or belay other participants on difficult individual sections. Alpine hazards, weather and orientation are also part of this alpine course. After it you are qualified to lead groups voluntary, responsibly and risk-aware, to climb via ferrata chosen by you, and to provide effective assistance in emergencies.

Voraussetzungen

Voraussetzung:

Minimum age 16 years
Physical and mental fitness
Experience in planning and organising via ferratas.
Stamina and fitness: Approaches up to 2 hours/500 metres and long via ferratas (up to 3 hours) in grade C are no problem and are mastered without signs of exhaustion.
Independent and safe climbing of via ferratas in grade C as well as short climbing passages or key sections in grade D can be mastered alone.
Knots: Overhand knot, figure of eight knot, Munter hitch, girth hitch, clove hitch and prusik.
Sure-footedness in pathless steep terrain

Tour report: Name 6 via ferratas (route name, difficulty level, mountain/climbing area) with a difficulty level of C or higher that you have completed independently in the last 2 years. Please state the name of a partner and the date (month, year).

Successful and complete participation is required for a course confirmation (confirmation of participation or certificate).

Successful: Participants have achieved the intended educational objectives.
Complete: Participants were fully present and actively participated in all parts of the course (tolerance for absences max. 1 h)
